Some prior yoga experience is helpful — even a few months of regular classes is enough. The 7-day programme introduces Ashtanga Vinyasa, Shatkarma cleansing and philosophy, which go beyond what a complete beginner would be ready for. If you are brand new to yoga, we recommend the 3-day retreat first.
How is the 7-day retreat different from the 3-day retreat?
The 3-day retreat is a taster — Hatha yoga, pranayama, mantra and meditation. The 7-day adds Ashtanga Vinyasa, Shatkarma cleansing practices, yoga philosophy (Yoga Sutras), anatomy and physiology, and evening satsang with teachers. You leave with a fundamentally different understanding of yoga — and a certificate.
