A full month of classical Ayurvedic treatment — the most expansive programme we offer. Four weeks gives your physician the time to work in cycles: prepare, cleanse, observe, refine and restore. Your treatment plan is built entirely around your consultation findings, and may include Basti, Virechana, Raktamokshan and Nasya in combinations and sequences not possible in shorter programmes.
Twenty-eight days is a categorically different experience from all shorter programmes — not simply more days, but a fundamentally different medical possibility. With a full month, your physician can work in complete treatment cycles: a preparation phase, a primary cleansing phase, a period of observation and refinement, and then a second cleansing cycle if indicated, before a full and unhurried rejuvenation phase.
This is the programme prescribed in classical Ayurvedic texts for the treatment of serious chronic disease — conditions that have been accumulating for years or decades. It is also the programme chosen by guests who wish to experience the deepest possible renewal — complete digestive restoration, nervous system rebuilding, hormonal recalibration — with nothing rushed and nothing abbreviated.
Your treatment plan is determined by your physician after a thorough consultation. It may include any combination of Basti, Virechana, Raktamokshan, Nasya, Shirodhara, Ksheeradhara and extended Rasayana — selected and sequenced specifically for your constitution and condition.
This is a serious medical programme — a doctor consultation is essential before booking. Book your free 30-minute consultation → to understand whether 28 days is appropriate for your situation.
A full month allows the physician to administer two complete cycles of key treatments where needed — observe the body's response to the first cycle, refine the second, and achieve a depth of cleansing that a single pass cannot produce. This is how classical Ayurveda treats serious chronic disease.
After deep cleansing, rebuilding the tissues (Dhatus) properly takes time. A ten-day Rasayana phase — unique to the 28-day programme — allows Rasayana herbs, Ksheeradhara, rejuvenating Abhyanga and Sattvic diet to consolidate every gain made during cleansing and genuinely rebuild cellular vitality.
The final days of a 28-day programme are spent not just completing treatment, but building a comprehensive post-programme life — diet planning, daily routine design, specific Yoga and Pranayama recommendations, Rasayana herb prescriptions to continue at home, and a full written wellness document you leave with.
Your physician selects and sequences from the following therapies based on your condition, constitution and response. In a 28-day programme, treatments may be administered in cycles — some repeated across multiple weeks.
Synchronised full-body oil massage followed by herbal steam therapy — the cornerstone of all four weeks. In a 28-day programme, the oils and techniques are progressively adjusted across each phase to support preparation, cleansing and rejuvenation in turn.
All guests, dailyWarm medicated oil (Shirodhara) or medicated milk (Ksheeradhara) poured continuously over the forehead. Scheduled both in the main cleansing phase and the extended Rasayana phase — the 28-day duration allows both to be experienced fully.
Most guestsMedicated purgation for Pitta elimination — prescribed where liver, bile and digestive fire imbalances are identified. In a 28-day programme, a second Virechana may be indicated following observation of the first cycle's results.
Prescribed per consultationThe full classical Basti Krama sequence — alternating Anuvasana and Niruha enemas over multiple days. In a 28-day programme, a second Basti sequence can be prescribed in Week 3 or 4 for deep Vata disorders where one cycle is insufficient.
Prescribed per consultationLeech therapy or venesection for deep-seated Pitta toxicity in the blood — indicated for psoriasis, gout, eczema, chronic inflammatory skin conditions and certain joint disorders. Requires adequate preparation — possible only in programmes of significant length.
When specifically indicatedNasya (medicated nasal therapy) for head, sinus and respiratory conditions, combined with an extended Snehapana (internal ghee therapy) protocol that is significantly more thorough in a 28-day programme — deeper tissue preparation means deeper cleansing.
Prescribed per consultationThe four-week structure allows your physician to work in distinct phases — each building on the previous. The specific treatments within each phase are determined by your consultation and daily response.
Full Prakriti–Vikriti analysis, Nadi Pariksha and your complete 28-day personalised treatment plan is written. Initial Abhyanga and mild Swedana. The entire month is structured from this consultation — the most thorough intake assessment of any of our programmes.
Four days of medicated ghee therapy in progressively increasing doses — significantly deeper than shorter programmes allow. This extended internal oleation reaches layers of tissue that a 2–3 day Snehapana cannot access, preparing the body thoroughly for major cleansing treatments ahead.
Full body massage and deep herbal steam twice daily as preparation reaches its peak. The body is now fully primed — toxins are mobilised throughout and moving toward the digestive channels. A rest day with extended Yoga Nidra and physician review.
The first major cleansing treatments begin: Virechana, the opening of the Basti Krama, or Raktamokshan — depending on your physician's prescription from the Day 1 consultation. Closely monitored, with daily physician review and dietary protocol adjustments throughout.
Core cleansing treatments continue. Basti sequences run across multiple days. Nasya is woven in where indicated. Shirodhara sessions are scheduled for nervous system conditions. Your physician observes and records your response carefully — this observation directly informs Week 3.
Extended physician consultation. All findings from the first two weeks reviewed. The Week 3 treatment plan is refined based on your response. This mid-point review is a distinctive feature of the 28-day programme — no shorter programme can accommodate it.
Based on the Week 2 review, your physician may prescribe a second cycle of key treatments — a second Basti Krama, a repeat Virechana, or additional Raktamokshan sessions. This is the capability that defines the 28-day programme and explains its superior outcomes for serious chronic conditions.
Additional targeted therapies complete the cleansing phase: Nasya continuation, Shirodhara for nervous system restoration, Pizhichil for joint conditions, or Kati Basti for localised lumbar issues. Specific to your condition — nothing formulaic.
A significant transition day — the cleansing phase formally concludes. Gentle Abhyanga, extended meditation and Yoga Nidra. Physician consultation to mark the shift and introduce the Rasayana protocol for the final week.
Classical rejuvenation begins in earnest. Rasayana herbs are introduced and increased. Restorative Abhyanga with nourishing oils, Ksheeradhara sessions for nervous system rebuilding and a graduated dietary expansion programme moving gently from light to nourishing foods. Noticeable energy and clarity return.
Full Rasayana protocols continue. Extended Shirodhara and Ksheeradhara. Specific tonic herbal preparations prescribed for your condition to be continued at home. A sense of lightness, clarity and stability that guests consistently describe as unlike anything they have experienced before.
Final extended physician consultation. A comprehensive written wellness document is prepared: post-programme diet plan, daily routine (Dinacharya) guidelines, seasonal protocols, Rasayana herbs to continue for 3–6 months, specific Yoga and Pranayama practices. A genuine, unhurried closing ceremony with the full team.
